Article 240b

The following shall be punishable by a term of imprisonment not exceeding four years or a fifth category fine: a person who reproduces, disseminates, offers, publicly displays, manufactures, imports, exports, performs, acquires, possesses or gives access to an image - or any data carrier containing an image - of a sexual act involving, or appearing to involve, a person who has not reached the age of eighteen years by means of an automated work or by means of a communication service.
2. A person who makes the commission of one of the offences described in the first paragraph a profession or a habit shall be punishable by imprisonment of up to eight years or a fifth category fine.

Punishment for child pornography

Many people wonder what punishment someone can expect for child pornography, but that question can never be answered just like that. Punishment is tailor-made. In the case of a conviction, the judge looks at all kinds of factors, such as the circumstances under which the offence was committed, the person of the suspect, the maximum sentence and judgments in similar cases. The lawyers at our firm can make a realistic assessment of a possible penalty, even if it is ultimately up to the court to make the decision.
