Mr. A. (Adem) Çatbaş studied Law (honors) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he also received his master's degree. He also spent a semester studying International Human Rights at McGill University in Montreal and a year at TU Delft.

During his studies, he worked at several law firms on the Zuidas as a legal assistant. He also gained several years of courtroom experience as a clerk at the courts of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Besides his studies and side jobs, he was also active as a volunteer for the Rechtswinkel and WarChild.

He started his career at the country attorney's office. He then worked at a renowned criminal law firm in Amsterdam, where he handled complex criminal cases with a focus on organized crime. Since July 1, 2023, he has joined the team at Meijers Canatan. He deals exclusively with criminal cases.

General criminal law, including drugs, life crimes, criminal organizations, fraud and money laundering.

Adem Çatbaş has registered the following areas of law in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Dutch Bar Association

• Criminal law

This registration obliges him to earn ten training points in each registered area of law each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

Because Mr. Çatbaş works at the Amsterdam office, he falls under the supervision of the Amsterdam Bar Association.
