Mr. G. Meijers

Mr. G. Meijers (1948) studied philosophy, Semitic languages and law at the University of Amsterdam and was sworn in as attorney in 1986. He completed his traineeship at the eminent firm of Moszkowicz Advocaten in Amsterdam. He has worked in the criminal law unit at the Abma Schreurs Amsterdam office since 1989, and became a partner in 1993. He has been a partner at Meijers Canatan Lawyers from June 2008.

Mr. Meijers is a member of the Dutch Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NVSA), the (Dutch) Association of Supreme Court litigators and the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA).

Mr. Meijers has considerable expertise in Supreme Court appeals in criminal cases, proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights, on cases involving fraud, criminal organisations and international criminal law. Mr. Meijers speaks English, French, German and Hebrew.
